Cornflower taking a Sabbatical

Instead of asking “what do I want from life?,” a more powerful question is, “what does life want from me?” – Eckhart Tolle

I know I am not alone when I say we are in a truly transformative and tumultuous time. It seems each one of us are being tested to reveal our true self. To see fully who we really are and to drop deeper into that knowing and begin living from that place. Each one of us are being guided to this uniquely. For myself, as of the Electric Equinox (Sept 22 2012), I felt a deepening clarity that reflected to me great insight about refining my core, and creating more space for my true self to sing. That was then capped off by a deeply grounding Harvest Full Moon at Red Rocks in Colorado.

From this realization, I have decided to take a sabbatical from playing gigs and touring and refocus my energy and efforts to the path of inward growth and conscious living, digging deeper roots into the present moment and building stronger foundations as we cross through the Shift of World Ages on December 21st 2012 and birth into the new time! Since the launch of my debut album Journey into Sound, I have been learning and growing with every moment I share my music, as each time I do, I am sharing with a new group of people, and they are each imbuing their own magic and art into the song, transforming it and changing it into something totally new. Along the way I have grown as a musician, learning new techniques and ways to better express my heart song. During this time I have been writing new music that is expressing this evolution and this sabbatical at its core is meant to take these gifts, these lessons, these new sounds and bring them forth through this new music and through each of you and share them with the world.

This sabbatical’s main intention is about knowing the Self, going deeper into my presence and connection with Life, allowing me the space and time to channel the sound and song. I will then take this deeper presence into my new music and develop my second album, which is still currently “Untitled”, many songs you have heard live already, and others that have not yet left the garden. I am very inspired and clear about these next steps and have decided to start offering a monthly video update on every Full Moon as well as blogging about the process as it unfolds. Be looking out for some new stuff coming through the intertubes.

I guess you are now wondering, “how long is this sabbatical?“. Well, I have tuned into my heart and I keep hearing it will be between 4-5 months. There is a voice that keeps whispering “the Solar Equinox in 2013” which is the March Equinox, so stay tuned for more information on that.

I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for everyone of you who have enriched my life and helped lift up this music with your presence, joy and love. There are so many of you who have been so crucial to every turn of its journey. Thanks to everyone who have come out to the shows and danced with me in the Great Music, and who have given a helping hand along the way. You all are such great gifts in my Life, without you none of this would be possible. I am looking forward to launching new music in 2013 to share with all of you. Until then, take care of you, listen to your heart, follow your intuition, be creative, smile often, share love with your friends and family, give of yourself to those in need, offer a helping hand to those less fortunate, and sing your heart to the Sky as we journey through this profound time of being alive on Planet Earth!

With all of my Love & Gratitude,

Cornflower
