Southeast
Tour: And so it begins... The Southeast
Tour starts tonight @ The Acoustic Coffeehouse
in Johnson City TN @ 10PM. Cornflower is
excited to be debuting his music to the
Southeast of the USA. It is a very inspiring
weekend for Cornflower. We look forward
to seeing all of you out at the shows!

into Sound" has been reviewed by Daily
Om.
Here is a snippet: "The
album shows a wide range of vocal mastery,
and Cornflower moves with ease through a
wealth of tones. The penultimate "Calling
to Source" is a skillful mix of gospel
elements with a healthy mix of scat. Rather
than focusing on words, Cornflower uses
sounds to create emotions and shows an incredible
vocal range, with high-pitched humming as
well as deeper sounds that resemble the
harmonica. Sounds come down with force and
burst refreshingly on your ears, much like
a rainstorm coming down on thirsty grounds."

in REVIEW / AUGUST UPDATE / AUTUMN 09 |
July
in Review: We have had a full couple
of weeks in July. Cornflower
got to play @EmrgNSee
Festival and that same night played
his first gig @ The Goodfoot Lounge in Portland
OR with EntropyFunk
& Uprise
Live PA.
Cornflower
then went on to open for EntropyFunk @ Stillwater
in Ashland OR. That weekend @ Mystic Garden
Party in Ashland OR, Cornflower performed
an impromptu tweener set, playing between
main headlining acts Medicine Drum &
Zilla, and rocked to a large crowd with
his beatboxing stylings. The following day
Cornflower played one full set on the Spa
Stage took a packed crowd. Then finally,
closing the festival performing with The
Everyone Orchestra, alongside Jeff Pevar,
Michael Travis, Sasha Rose, Alice DiMicele,
Youshoupha Sidibe, Hot Buttered Rum and
Chris Berry of Panjea.
August
Update: This month brings the next
round of gigs for Cornflower. Starting with
Saturday August 1st with Stephanie Schneiderman
@ Stillwater in Ashland OR. Peace Village
Festival "Give Peace a Dance"
headlining with DJ Medicine Man (aka Chris
Deckker of Earthdance). A Local Ashland
Art Benefit House Party Jam, and finishing
up with an intimate evening @ Liquid Assets
Wine Bar.
Autumn
2009: In September, Cornflower
will be touring on the West Coast with Naomi
& The Courteous Rudeboys. Then in October,
he will play a Southeast tour across Tennessee,
North Carolina & Georgia. Finally in
November, Cornflower heads to Australia
for a number of dates in the Land Down Under!

OR on Saturday July 18th. He then will be
playing with EntropyFunk
& Uprise
Live PA @ The Goodfoot Lounge in his
first ever Portland OR show the night of
July 18th.
Cornflower
comes back to play @ Stillwater
in Ashland OR on Tuesday July 21st (New
Moon) with special guests TBA (stay tuned).
That next weekend Cornflower will perform
a midday set @ the 2nd Annual Mystic
Garden Party in Ashland OR @ 2:30pm
after the Global Water Ceremony.
His final
performance of July will be as host to an
evening of avant garde electronica from
Quetzatl
(Waveform Modulations) / Andrew
Luck (Seattle WA) and VJ GalaxC
Girl (Night Light Riders, Asheville
NC) @ Stillwater
on Wednesday July 29th. Stay tuned, much

The CD Release Party was a success with
around 130+ peeps who took a Journey
into Sound! The show was a marathon
3 hours and 20 minutes long with the 1st
set clocking in at 1 hr and 20 min and the
2nd set clocking in at 2 hours!!! Here is
