ACT I. Between Me and You
Cornflower was born John Francis Coughenour into a family of 4 in Kingsport, Tennessee. By the age of 18, John had graduated high school and was searching for meaning in his Life. At the time he occasionally babysat a young 2 year-old boy who was just beginning to speak. They were headed to the kitchen for a treat and the little boy turned and looked up at John and said, “Cornflower!” The boy did not know his last name was “Coughenour”. This became John’s nickname between the boy and his mother, however he decided not to let anyone else know.
ACT II. The Cosmic Reveal
6 months or so later, John/Cornflower had been invited to a friends home for a graduation party. These friends had given him many nicknames throughout high school, as most friends do. This time they said they had come upon “THE NICKNAME”. So, they sat John down and said, “You are the Re-Incarnation of a Blue, 4th-Dimensional, Cartoon Character from the Center of the Universe… named Cornflower”. John’s eyes opened wide and his mouth dropped open in disbelief that they had given him the same name that the boy had. Since John/Cornflower had never told anyone else… no one knew of that name. “How did they find that name?” Cornflower thought to himself. At this moment, the size and scope of John’s Life became much bigger than he had ever given himself the ability to realize. At this moment, he officially took the name Cornflower as his official nickname.
ACT III. The Birth of Tree Man
A year or so later… Cornflower was studying the indigenous heritage of the Holston Valley, in Northeast Tennessee where he was born and raised. As he searched, essay after thesis, he found one about the Golden Age of Peace for the Cherokee tribe in the Holston Valley area. As he was reading this, he felt chill bumps come over his body. It was the voice of something much bigger than himself speaking directly to him… at this time he saw these words, “…and their leader was a woman named Princess Cornflower”. Cornflower jumped to his feet knowing that he had just been given a message, that he has a major role to play in the world… with eyes, ears and heart wide open, listening, pro-actively looking for the next sign to show him the way towards his destiny. Years past, yet in 2005, he was given the clear sign… music was his path, and bringing forth the awakening of human consciousness, and inspiring humanity to be empowered and awakened human beings was his goal. And so it is.
